Kangana Ranaut to romance John Abraham

Kangana Ranaut has replayed Vidya Balan as the lead heroine in Sanjay Gupta’s multi-starrer ‘Shootout At Wadala’. Kangana will be cast opposite Bollywood hunk John Abraham. This is the first time that Kangana will be paired opposite John. Kangana worked with Balaji

in ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai’.

An industry insider reveals, “When Balaji spoke to Kangana about the film, she agreed immediately because she has the highest regard for the company.”

Tanuj Garg, CEO of Balaji Motion Pictures, confirms the news, “Yes, Kangana has been approached. The film is becoming bigger each passing day.”Apparently, director Sanjay Gupta’s first choice was Vidya. “The role is not of a glam doll, or about doing item songs. It’s a very serious role based on a non-fictional character,” says Gupta,  adding, “I had written keeping Vidya in mind, but post The Dirty Picture, her priorities have changed, which I completely respect and admire. After Vidya, the obvious first choice was Kangana”

Sanjay believes that Kangana also has a huge potential as an actor. “She is someone whom I have seen growing from film to film. I feel that the films she did, couldn’t do justice to her role. She is not just a glam doll but also a powerhouse performer,” says Sanjay, adding, “I am glad that even if I am working with her for the first time, I am going to her with a character that has a huge scope of performance and not just song and dance.” 

Besides, John and Kangana, the film also has Tusshar Kapoor and Anil Kapoor. The film is expected to go on floors in March.

Kangna Ranaut has admitted to dating UK-based doctor Nicholas Lafferty for over a year, claiming they were introduced by Kites actress Barbara Mori’s brother Kintaro. The actress has also admitted to being in

love on a chat show, adding that despite being a world apart they keep in touch through video chat. While the two haven’t been spotted publicly or even with friends, the actress maintains that this relationship is for keeps.

Recently, a celebrity magazine printed a photograph of Lafferty, provided to them by the actress. A little investigation on Kangna’s man on Facebook reveals cosy pictures of him with another girl. In fact, there are pictures of him there with everyone except he actress. That could be because she is a public figure or that they want to keep photographs private. Or perhaps, this is an open relationship because Kangna too has been linked to several co-stars in the past year. What’s strange is that they aren’t even friends on the site, given that he visits his profile regularly.

There have been reports that she spent time with Lafferty in London while shooting for Tezzz, but none of her co-stars or the crew have seen him. Strangely enough, he never visited her on the set. If she’s talking about him publicly, why won’t she meet him publicly?

A common friend denies that Kintaro introduced the supposed couple, saying, “While he knows Kangna socially, he never introduced her to anybody called Nicholas Lafferty. He’s a tad miffed that his name is being bandied about in this story. If she is seeing him, then why don’t her friends have a clue about him? This is really mysterious!” Time to bring your beau out of hiding, eh, Kangna?
