Review:

This next chapter is just as good as the first!  It was intriguing, mysterious, magical and made me want to read more!  I really like Leah: she's really laid back and careful, but she's been given the chance to let go... will she, though?  And I can tell Rosa is going to be a really interesting character!  Magia...  As for April, well, seems like she was a troubled teen to say the least!  But what did she do to set all this off...  I know it was bad, but what?!  Seriously, I love this story so far!  I can't wait to see what happens next!

Review:

Leah's heading to Mexico to stay with a strange family for four months.  She's looking forward to the new boys and having a Marilyn Monroe entrance.  Then a strange woman - one Leah doesn't know but feels safe with - stumbles into the seat next to her.  Her name is April, and she begins to tell Leah the story of her own trip to Mexico.  Then, suddenly, this lady's story becomes far, far too real...  I liked Leah - she was funny and I just liked the way she looked at things.  She was rather sarcastic too.  I had an inkling about what was going on during the very start of the first chapter... it was totally wrong, but it was an inkling, none the less!  Overall, the first chapter of Falling Backwards was really strong: it made me want to read on, made me want to know what would happen next!  I loved the characters, the setting, the mystery, the three choices for where Chapter Two shall go...  I've already made my choice, now it's your turn!

 

Did I convince you to give Falling Backwards a shot?  It's really worth it - I can tell this story will be amazing!   I really love this site: amazing stories, only you're in charge of where the plot goes!  :D

Will Thaddeus manage to rescue the jewel from Rémy’s nimble fingers? Or is it really Rémy that he needs to save?

Review:

This second chapter was just as good as the first!  It was just non-stop action, non-stop excitement.  I was completely absorbed, addicted.  The suspense was amazing: can Remy escape, can she avoid the policeman?  I was on the edge of my seat for every single page of this thirteen-page chapter.  Remy is just brilliant: so smart, brave and quick-witted.  I can't wait to see what happens next, where the path chosen by the readers takes her!

 

If you haven't visited this site and this book, I seriously think you ought to go - now!  It's the best interactive site I've ever been on, and the books are something I'd buy in a book shop - only better, because I have a say in how they end!  :D

Review:

The first chapter drew me in instantly.  This story is just so different from the others: I loved it!  Rémy has had an unusual life, pick-pocketing since she could walk before moving onto jewels at the age of eight.  Now she's the best jewel thief out there.  But, despite her odd background, she's a strong character, one I just connected with instantly.  And as for Thaddeus, a detective and our other protagonist, he was just as well thought out.  He was slightly different than the other police, being interested in new technology (such as night-vision goggles) and more cautious police-work.  I can't wait to see where the whole cops-and-robbers angle goes...  Overall, a very strong and addictive start to a brilliant book.  Plus, it ended on such a cliffhanger!  I really enjoyed it, and I think you should all go try it out.  Now!

Fiction Express

I found this site on Cliona (Bookster Reviews)'s blog, and I'm so pleased I did!  Fiction Express is an interactive e-fiction website, aimed at young people who get to control the plot.  At the end of each chapter, the reader is 3-or-4 choices about what they want to happen next.  After the votes are in, the author writes the next chapter. 

There will be 11 chapters, and one is released each week.  Each is available to be read at 3.30pm (UK time) each Friday.  Voting closes the following Monday at 10am.  If you miss a chapter: no worries, you can catch up easily (as I'm going to do), but you won't be able to vote.

There are four novels on this site, by four amazing authors.  These are:
