NEHA SHARMA ALSO IN UPCOMING MOVIE TERI MERI KAHANI

All this while, film buffs were led to believe that in Kunal Kohli’s tentatively titled Teri Meri Kahani, the only leading lady that Shahid Kapoor had for himself was his Kaminey co-star Priyanka Chopra. Well, that is far from true because our sources reveal that there is another girl who is finding Shahid’s good attention as well. She is Neha Sharma, the petite young woman, who had debuted opposite Emraan Hashmi in Crook last year.

“It was meant to be a hush-hush development but is now out in open. Though it is pretty apparent that Teri Meri Kahani is set in different eras, the fact also remains that the film is not just centred entirely on Shahid-Priyanka romance in each of the episodes. This is where Neha steps in as Shahid’s love interest in one of the episodes”, informs a source on condition of anonymity.

Though the making of Teri Meri Kahani has been pretty much a closed door affair with no one allowed to reveal anything about the film, it’s storyline and the characters, the inside news is that Neha features in the episode which is set in the current times. Apparently, Kunal spotted her in Crook and chose her after she auditioned for the part. In the film, she plays an urban contemporary modern girl with grey shades to her character.

“Yes, Neha plays Shahid’s girlfriend in today’s times and enacts the part of a spunky yet bratty girl”, the source adds, “She is someone very different from those clichéd sweet girl next door characters that one sees time and again in quintessential Bollywood flicks. She plays a college student who studies in Nottingham and has an important part to play in Shahid’s life. Even though it is known that eventually his character would unite with Priyanka, Neha’s part adds a lot of weight to the proceedings.”

When contacted, Neha was tight lipped about her role in the film and wasn’t willing to reveal much. She said, “It is an important guest appearance. Yes, I play Shahid’s girlfriend and even though it’s a small role, I picked it up because it is interesting and adds to the film’s plot.”

Though she was expectedly mum on Teri Meri Kahani, Neha was more than glad to talk about Kya Super Kool Hai Hum where she has a full fledged role for herself.

“The character that I play in the film is really spunky, bright and youthful”, says Neha who is paired opposite Tusshar Kapoor in the film, “I want to explore different genres and other than Crook and Teri Meri Kahani, this is one film that really excited me.”
