Kareena's 'Heroine' based on Manisha Koirala's life

Nepali beauty Manisha Koirala who starred in hit films like ‘Saudagar’ ‘Bombay’ and ‘1942: A Love Story’ saw gradual failure in her personal and professional life. She achieved immense success in the initial period of her acting career but gradually she climbed down the ladder due to her drinking and her failed relationship. It is highly speculated that Madhur Bhandarkar’s highly anticipated film, ‘Heroine’ is based on the life of Manisha Koirala.

Ever since Madhur announced ‘Heroine’, the film has been making news for varied reasons. The female protagonist Kareena is said to play Manisha Koirala in the movie. It was earlier said that the film is inspired from Hollywood actress Marilyn Monroe. However, Madhur denied that his film revolves around any successful actress.

In the past, Manisha Koirala was spotted in various awkward situations. She was spotted heavily drunk at a party, could not even control her steps. Her personal relationship also hit the rough patch. Later, her disturbed married life hit the headlines. It was also rumored that she filed divorce from her husband.

Apart from Kareena Kapoor, 'Heroine' stars Arjun Rampal and Randeep Hooda in the male leads.
